Responsibilities
• Oversee plant management for cost-effective, timely production and distribution of high-quality products.
• Manage facility and employee costs in coordination with headquarters.
• Collaborate with operations teams: maintenance, quality assurance, warehouse, sanitation, finance, and HR.
• Lead staffing efforts: recruitment, selection, orientation, and training.
• Monitor and develop workflow processes through instructions, control points, and staff oversight.
• Set production shifts, prioritize tasks, track progress, adjust schedules, and report on production outcomes.
• Ensure quality standards by enforcing organizational policies.
• Manage equipment operations: arrange repairs and evaluate new technologies.
• Compile and analyze production data, addressing inquiries and requests.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment; educate staff on compliance with policies.
• Resolve personnel issues through data analysis and solution recommendations.• Perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Mandatory experience in food packaging plants.
• 10+ years in USDA/FDA food, meat, and packaging manufacturing.
• Experience in privately owned facilities is a plus.
• HACCP certification and food safety knowledge preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office; strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion.
• Able to work in fast-paced environments and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Preferred experience in 5S, Lean Sigma, and related methodologies.
