Responsibilities:
Demonstrates extensive experience in welding (TIG/ARC), fabrication, troubleshooting, repairs, rebuilding, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical tasks, and general facility maintenance.
Reads and interprets drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to plan wiring layouts for new or existing installations and identify potential issues.
Works independently on pumps, conveyors, agitators, gearboxes, and compressors.
Takes initiative and accountability to ensure equipment is operational by proactively addressing issues.
Possesses strong troubleshooting skills to achieve effective resolutions.
Monitors all equipment and initiates repairs promptly.
Collaborates with technical production mechanics to support line changeovers as needed and offers recommendations to enhance line efficiency.
Qualifications:
Holds Red Seal Certification or higher, with multiple relevant certifications.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar industry.
Highly organized and aligned with corporate values of pride, accountability, integrity, and diligence.
Proficient in Microsoft Office for project management and organization.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledgeable in plant operations and capable of operating various equipment.
Physically fit to handle demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in diverse environments, including hot/cold conditions and on slippery surfaces.
Willing to work long hours, bend, climb ladders, and work at heights.
Capable of overseeing training and sharing knowledge with junior technicians.
Strong analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to perform accurate calculations.
Able to work independently as well as part of a team with minimal supervision.
